Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology is currently one of the most rapidly developing industries with a wide variety of applications and products.  Some of the application areas include: sound, voice, image, communication, control and a lot of consumer products currently on the market.  DSP technology will create many new marketing opportunities, as well as quickly replace the traditional digital electronic applications that are currently used. Leaders in this field predict that DSP technologies will be the mainstream in the near future.
The DSP industry is attracting a lot of attention, but this industry still needs more technically trained individuals along with more R&D investment money. Too many Taiwanese companies and manufacturers in the DSP field are still relatively new and unknown.
In 1993, Chateau Technical Corp. foresaw that there will be a change in the industry and start taking steps toward developing DSP. All the above products, Chateau can all provide it¡¦s main IC component-DSP processor, and also to co-operate with customer¡¦s special requirements to meet it¡¦s own special DSP IC in every system.  At this moment, Chateau¡¦s product development and marketing strategy is separate into 2 different parts: For the voice processing products, it will be focusing on becoming the biggest sale products in the consumer market, base on it¡¦s advanced technical and low costs to gain the market competing advantages. As for the image processing products, it¡¦s focusing on the developing of the product in the already mature market.  Under this strategy, Chateau¡¦s products had gain the position in the competitive market, and also the designation and uses of the customers.
