When this message comes up, click the browse button and select D:\Driver200\vguard.sys from the CD and click OK to install.

Can't activate Chateau2000X?

1.Please check your dpi setting.  Make sure is set default at 1024 x 768, 32-color bit.
2.Please check whether your VGA card support 32 color bit.
3.Please check the driver for your VGA card is up to date.The driver that Windows 2000 detects is normally old version.  It is recommended to upgrade to a latest one.
4.It is recommended to use TNT2 32M RAM VGA cards or above.

Press the direction control panel under remote control.  Release the left button of the mouse when there is a movement from the Speed Dome.  The signal did not fully received due to the slow connecting speed.  This will cause the turning of the Speed Dome.

Chateau System is down after few days recording.

1.Please check whether your Windows is fully installed..
2.Please check whether the configuration of your computer fits the requirement.
3.Please check the recording speed from the defaulted 30FPS to 15FPS.

Chateau System can't activate after installed.

1.Please check whether the driver for the Vguard board is installed successfully.
2.Please check whether your VGA card is compatible with S3 VGA card
3.Please check whether your VGA card support High 16 bit color or Full Color 24 bit or higher.
4.Please check whether your sound card is compatible to Creative SoundBuster Card.
5.Please install your Vguard card into other PCI slot and try.

Why the recording time can last only 1~2weeks.

1.When the high sensitivity had been selected, even when there was no movement of the screen, the saved file is still very large.  Adjust the sensitivity to less sensitive to try.
2.Please check whether the image quality had been set to its highest position.  The size of the file for the highest the image quality is about 4 times more than the  default files.
3.Please check whether you had ticked the snapshot function.  Snapshot does not have auto-circulate function.  If you have snapshot function ticked, it will take a great amount of spaces in the hard disk.

1.Please check whether the function is ticked
2.Please see whether the recording database capacity has only one day left (the system will not delete the information on the same day)
3.Please check whether the hard disk space is lower than the system reserved spaces (need to be 500mb or above)
4.Please see whether you had make changes to the preset file setting, so the system cannot find the files for circulate recording.

When connecting, memory does not have enough space comes up.

Please check whether you are using the same version.  Chateau 4.0 cannot be mixed with Chateau 3.0

1.Please check whether the Motion detection is setup.  If yes, you will be under monitoring condition until the detection area detects motions.
2.Please check whether you had ticked monitor function only.

Why I can not activate sound recording function.

1.Please check whether your sound card is Full-Duplex sound card.
2.Please check whether the driver for sound card is installed correctly.
3.Please check whether you can select for the microphone in the voice recording selection under the sound control selection in Windows.
4.Please check when under recording status, the files for sound recording and image files are release into same files.  If under monitoring, you will not be activate sound recording.
5.Please activate the sound recording program under Window.  If you cannot record sound normally, than you might not installed properly.
